Meat vs Climate Change

Food production is responsible for a quarter of all greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to global warming, according to a University of Oxford study.

The global livestock industry produces more greenhouse gas emissions than all cars, planes, trains and ships combined, but a worldwide survey by Ipsos MORI in the report finds twice as many people think transport is the bigger contributor to global warming.

Being vegetarian doesn’t appeal to loads of people, but don't worry because cutting down is a great start. Going meat-free just one day a week can have help a lot. Research published in 2018 showed that greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture would be reduced by more than a half if we all only ate one portion of red meat a week!

Also a golden rule, eat everything you buy! Check your fridge before you go shopping and don't be tempted by deals as the more waste created by leftovers, the worse things are going to get!
