Tech for good investors Bethnal Green Ventures (BGV) and The Children’s Society are seeking digital innovators for their Autumn 2019 tech for good programme.

The programme is looking for tech ideas that can support children and young people to overcome obstacles to becoming successful.

An investment of £20,000 and a place at BGV’s 12-week programme will be awarded to the winning digital entrepreneur. The programme includes bespoke workshops, mentoring and one-to-one support to help launch and grow the digital business.

On concluding the programme, the winners will also receive follow-up support and assistance from BVG, as well as opportunities for further financial investment.

The Children’s Society will also provide additional guidance, giving entrepreneurs valuable insight from those working with young people in frontline services. They can also benefit from access to young people, who could help to shape and design the product itself.

“We know there is huge potential to use technology to scale our impact and improve the lives of so many more vulnerable young people. We are so pleased to be continuing our partnership with Bethnal Green Ventures and support these innovative ventures at the start of their journey,” said Kirsten Naudé, Director of New Ventures at The Children’s Society.
