Blizzards Pink Mercy Skin overpasses everyones expectations! BCRF gets a donation of 12.7million $ from a charity skin

Overwatch offered a special promotion last May by making a PINK MERCY skin available for in game purchase. Mercy is a very popular support character known as the party healer and symbol of medicine and health. The Overwatch campaign went live May 8-21 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with the limited edition skin being available for $14.99. Blizzard donated 100% of profits toward supporting BCRF, and their promotion far exceeded the initial goal of minimum 250,000 $ which by the end of the campaign skyrocketed to whole 12,7million $ !

WHAT DID THE DONATIONS ACCOMPLISH? SUPPORT TO:

1. THREE CRITICAL PROGRAMS THAT THE CAMPAIGN SUPPORTED

The donation of over $12.7 million will fuel three critical programs that examine every aspect of a breast cancer diagnosis and will change the lives of women and men across the globe: BCRF Precision Prevention Initiative, BCRF Translational Breast Cancer Research Consortium Award, and 25 Annual BCRF Research Grants.

2. PRECISION PREVENTION INITIATIVE

BCRF will fuel innovative prevention research to reduce the incidence of breast cancer, including creating new tools and tests for improved screenings and diagnostics.

3. TRANSLATIONAL BREAST CANCER RESEARCH CONSORTIUM AWARD

The BCRF Translational Breast Cancer Research Consortium Award, funded by the Pink Mercy donations, will help launch five new clinical trials this year.

4. 25 ANNUAL BCRF RESEARCH GRANTS

These awards provide scientists across the globe with funds to explore innovative ideas, to collaborate with fellow researchers, and to bring us closer to eradicating breast cancer.
